In our beautiful old Tuscan farmhouse we offer you a well equipped holiday apartment. On first floor you find tastefully furnished, large bedrooms with en suite baths (shower/toilet) are waiting for you. On ground floor, there is a well equipped kitchen-living room with direct access to a spacious pergola and to the garden. Quite near you will find a large shady arbour, another place to relax. Our swimming pool is free to use for cooling down or just to get a tan on a sunbed under the big sunshade.
Our house is situated in the rural area of Castagneto Carducci – Donoratico, sunk in the green of shady, luxuriant trees of a park, of a large orchard and of an olive grove. A fence encircles the whole estate, including the car park. The Coast of the Etruscans is a place offering you a wide-ranging choice of leisure and pleasure in all seasons. It is holiday time all year round here, where sea and landscape, art and history blend uniquely into a harmonious whole.
Along the shores of the Coast of Etruscans, fine white sand and dark pebbles alternate with cliffs carved by the wind and sculptured by the sea waves. There you can engage in your favourite sports and outdoor activities, or relax in the warm sunshine and the balmy, bracing breeze gently blowing from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The beauty and pleasure of the Tuscan landscape, with its green, rolling hills, its cypress-lined country lanes and roads, its silver-green olive trees, its majestic, century-old pine woods, are there for you to discover and enjoy, by car, by motorcycle, on your bicycle, on foot or on horseback.
Unwinding between seashore, woodland and countryside a charming route will take you along the Coast of Etruscans, where you will discover the historical and artistic treasures of our cultural heritage, such as the Etruscan necropolis of Baratti and the ancient villages of Castagneto Carducci, Bolgheri, Suvereto, Campiglia and Populonia.
Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca (approx. one hour’s drive) and Volterra (approx. 45 minutes’ drive) are all within easy reach of the farmhouse I Ghiacci.
